Film Forum is a non-profit theatre for independent, historic and foreign art film.
It was initially founded in 1970 and moved to the Vandam Theatre in 1975. In 1980
it moved to a twin cinema on Watts Street. When that location was demolished in 1989 by
developers, Film Forum moved to this three-screen, 472 seat space on Houston Street.
