Built as part of the Marriott Marquis hotel on a site where five lovely old Broadway theatres were destroyed in the name of progress: The Astor Theatre (1906), Bijou (1878), Morosco (1917), Gaiety (1908) and the Follies-Bergere (1911). Notable productions include Victor Victoria (1995) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (2002)
