Bernard B. Jacobs TheatreOpened 1927
Built as the Royale Theatre. Briefly renamed the John Golden Theatre from 1934 - 1937 and dark from 1937 - 1940 before reopening under its original name. Renamed after a Schubert Organization producer in 2004. Notable productions include Diamond Lil (1928), Du Barry Was a Lady (1940), The Glass Menagerie (1946), Light Up the Sky (1948), The Boy Friend (1954), The Night of the Iguana (1961), Grease (1972), A Day in Hollywood / A Night in the Ukraine (1980), Speed-the-Plow (1988).
