The Indian HunterBetween The Mall and the Sheep Meadow, around 66th Street The Indian Hunter was cast by by John Quincy Adams Ward in 1866 and first shown at the Paris Universal Exposition of 1867. It was installed in Central Park in 1869 and was the first sculpture in the park by an American artist.
