(click on thumbnails to enlarge) Billy Johnson Playground Bridge |
Billy Johnson Playground BridgeThis ornamental stone bridge is actually a simple concrete arch bridge with a stone guardrail that sits in a rustically adorned playground. The playground was renovated in 1985 and the bridge appears to date from that time. (reference) I'm not sure what Billy Johnson this is named after, although there was a Billy Johnson (1918-2006) that played third base for the New York Yankees from 1943 to 1951. (reference)
