New Museum of Contemporary Art235 Bowery, New York, NY 10002 The New Museum of Contemporary Art was founded in 1977 by Marcia Tucker. In 2003, Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa/SANAA Ltd. were selected to design this new 60,000 square foot building, which opened in 2007.
