Junction Bridge

Little Rock, AR

The Junction Railroad Bridge was built by the Union Pacific Railroad sometime in the early 20th century. The Junction Bridge carried trains across the Arkansas River until being decommissioned in 1984. When I visited in 2007, it was at the beginning of a conversion into a pedestrian walkway across the Arkansas River, connecting the renewed downtown with North Little Rock and the arena on the north side.
